For a few short moments we took refuge in a cave on the beach, with a bunch of other sodden travelers, which was really...strange.
There we were. Also weird to be boarding a boat from the shore. I felt like we were storming the beaches of Normandy. But we all had a lovely, delicious afternoon (so delicious that I nearly sliced off my thumb on the pointy bits of a stone crab claw and hardly paused eating for the application of a plaster).
Charlotte particularly enjoyed the shopping, she has a gorgeous new pair of wellies, courtesy her aunty B.
